Overview
ComOps360 is the field application used to commission and monitor solar tracker controllers. It has to work on a construction site: no reliable network, multiple radio and wired transports, and technicians who need the job finished today rather than next week.
The problem
Commissioning a solar site meant configuring controllers one by one, largely by hand, across two to three days of on-site work with intermittent connectivity.
What I built
A one-click commissioning workflow backed by an offline-first data layer: the app talks to controllers over BLE, Classic Bluetooth and USB Serial, stores everything locally in Room, and reconciles with the cloud when a connection is available. Firmware is delivered on-device over YMODEM.
Reduced site commissioning time by over 90% by developing a one-click commissioning workflow.
